Aurora 88 (802) vintage big size gold fountain pen new pristine in box

  

This is a nice and rich fountain pen belonging to the series of the famous Aurora 88, one of the word's most famous fountain pens. It is the biggest size available, the most expensive, and this one is the truly vintage original 1980/85 model.

Aurora pens are made in Turin since the 20ies, and they have always been well known for the quality of their products. This Aurora 88 fountain pen belongs to the most expensive series, as expensive as the sterling silver one, the body and the cap are entirely gold filled (or gold plated), and it was much more expensive than the regular models made in resin. The 14k gold nib is F size. This pen is 136.5mm long, it is a piston filler and it is in perfect pristine unused mint condition, never inked, never dipped.

It's original retail price was around 460 euro, nowadays something teh newer edition like 650 euro in Europe. Trattasi di una bella penna stilografica dell'Aurora, una 88 modello grande, nella versione "lusso" interamente placcata in oro con una bella lavorzione "Godron" a sottili righe verticali. Trattasi del primo modello "vintage" anni'80, decisamente più affascinante. Assolutamente nuova, perfetta, mai inchiostrata. La penna è nuova, mai usata, completa di scatola originale, controscatola esterna, libricino.

Eventual micro-signs are due to various movings, not to use, the pen is a truly new-old-stock item, never inked. Eventuali micro segnetti sono dovuti ai vari spostamenti negli anni, non all'uso, la penna è infatti assolutamente un resto di magazzino e non è mai stata inchiostrata.
