Ferrari Formula (Cartier) vintage Gun Metal fountain pen New Old Stock in box

  

This is an original vintage 1989 Ferrari Formula fountain pen, in brand new old stock condition, never used. The body and the cap are in stainless steel with "Gun Metal" finish, with "smooth" finish, with steel clip and black details, very elegant indeed. Ferrari, the famous sport car maker has always had a line of accessories, including watches, pens, glasses, bags, and they belong to the high level both for the great italian style design and the quality of the items themselves. This series of pens have been commercialized also by Cartier in their stores during the first years of production.

The Ferrari Formula pen were launched on the market in 1989, and nowadays they are even collected by amateurs of the Ferrari brand. This fountain pen has been built for Ferrari by Aurora, the famous pen maker in Turin, Italy, well known for the quality of their pens, in fact this fountain pen is extremely well made and it reminds the Aurora Hastil pens in many parts. The pen is 140.5mm long (around 5 and 1/2 inch), and the nib seems to be M size. Complete with the original box and the booklet.

Trattasi di un stilografica Ferrari Formula, databile 1989 ma ancora nuova, inusata, mai inchiostrata. Costruita interamente in acciaio con finitura "canna di fucile", con clip in acciaio e dettagli in metallo nero, molto elegante e raffinata. Costruita certamente dalla Aurora di Torino, molto ben fatta, bella esteticamente. Il pennino è quasi certamente di misura M. Eventual micro-signs are due to various movings, not to use, the pen is a truly new-old-stock item, never inked. Eventuali micro segnetti sono dovuti ai vari spostamenti negli anni, non all'uso, la penna è infatti assolutamente un resto di magazzino e non è mai stata inchiostrata.
