To mark the space shuttle's reign, Montegrappa chose a design that reconnects with optimism of early 1990 and the Nasa icongraphy coveted by fans and collectors. In 1992, the shuttle Atlantis carried the first italian to space, and at same year Nasa retired its much loved worm logo featured on the cap of Nasa Atlantis in red enamel fill.

Montegrappa resin/steel design uses Nasa's futurist-minimalist style using the color system established in 1976. Lathed and enamel-filled rings add a subtle livery to complement retro, precision-engraved shuttle lift off and launch pad graphics on the clip and blind cap. The shuttle lift off graphic also features a stunning deboss on custom packaging. The pen works with twist action machanism, and use parker style refill.
